Ergonomics and Visualisation - Drawing
Overview

A household product was chosen and drawn using the visualisation skills learnt. The product chosen was a stapler. The aim was to become a better communicator through the use of drawing in 4 stages:

Stage 1 - Learning basic 3-D perspective drawing of geometric shapes and application of tonal values expressed from a single light source.

Stage 2- Constructing a basic product drawing from analysis of actual product using orthographic projection and perspective grids.

Stage 3 - Refinement / detailing using three line weights and trace-off construction techniques from master drawing adding detail as appropriate.

Stage 4 - Rendering the design using markers and other media using repeated trace-offs from final master underlay drawing and producing a Presentation Visualisation board.
